Powering Ohio’s Nuclear Future
The Ohio Nuclear Development Authority (ONDA) accelerates advanced nuclear technologies from concept to commercial reality—strengthening national security, rebuilding industrial capacity, and creating high-wage jobs across Ohio.
What We Do

Advanced Manufacturing Campus Program: A purpose-built hub for HIP densification, Performance Parts Casting, electron-beam welding, high-vacuum heat-treat, additive, coatings, and clean assembly.
Resilient Microgrids & Reliability: Policy and project support for dispatchable, behind-the-meter power serving defense, hospitals, data centers, and residential and industrial corridors.
Supply Chain & Fuel-Cycle Readiness: Domestic capacity for Haleu fuel, isotopes, alloys, components, and reactor subsystems with qualification support aligned to federal standards.
ONDC Capital Platform: A public–private investment model that matches private capital to Ohio’s nuclear manufacturing opportunities to produce the next generation of nuclear technologies.

Advanced Nuclear Technology: We work with companies to commercialize and license the next generation of nuclear technology for the benefit of Ohioans and their environment. Our demonstration and commercialized reactors may produce competitive carbon-free energy for the grid, may consume high-level nuclear waste as fuel, and may produce radioisotopes to fight cancer, defend our country, and explore space.
National Innovation Hub

We are different than a national laboratory. We bridge the gap between R&D and full-scale production with pilot manufacturing, qualification pathways, and industry partnerships that help de-risk investment.
From advanced materials and fuel-cycle components to resilient underground microgrid test beds and advanced manufacturing, ONDA coordinates the facilities, standards, and supply chains Ohio needs.
We connect Ohio’s world-class manufacturers, universities, veterans, and skilled trades to opportunities in nuclear energy, aerospace, defense, mining, and petroleum equipment.
